about

I’m a PhD student in the systems group at New York University. I mainly write about my research and minor computer quibbles.

Prior to my switch over to the posh academic lifestyle, I worked at Google and a (failed) search engine startup.

My focus is on frameworks for distributed programming – with the goal of making it easier to write programs for distributed environments (such as large computer clusters). I’ve extended existing successful techniques to support a wider range of applications, and to allow for different ways of developing programs. Some papers I’ve written.

My advisor is Jinyang Li.
